Cancellations Policy

Any fees previously paid for that session will be refunded in full or put towards the next booked session, as preferred by the client.
In the event of a session cancellation, by the client, and at least 24 hours before the scheduled session date, any fees previously paid for that session will be refunded in full or put towards the next booked session, as preferred by the client.
In case of a session cancellation, by the client, within less than 24 hours before the scheduled session date, I will attempt to fill the time slot. If this is successful, I will not charge for the cancelled session. Should I not be able to fill the time slot, I will charge the full fee for the cancelled session and consider it due within one week of the originally scheduled session.

In special circumstances (such as severe illness) individual arrangements may be possible.

If fees have been paid and a refund is requested or due, please email the cancellation with your mailing address so the cheque can be sent to you promptly.

Fee Policy

Each session is 50 minutes in duration.
Fee changes will be announced by email to active client before they come into effect.
For online audio/visual sessions payment terms may vary.
Psychology fees are slightly higher than Psychotherapy fees to cover administration costs.
Credit cards and e-transfers are accepted.
There is a fee for returned payments. It becomes due immediately and is to be included with the replacement payment.

Insurance Reimbursement

We do not work directly with any insurance companies and we require payment at the time of each appointment. We will provide you with a session invoice and you could apply for reimbursement from your insurance company.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended that you contact your insurance company prior to scheduling your first appointment to ask about your coverage.

A few recommended questions to ask your insurance company are listed as follows:

Do I have mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible that I have to meet before being eligible for reimbursement?
How much will I be reimbursed for each appointment?
Are there limits to how many sessions I can be reimbursed for in a calendar year?
Am I covered for services by a Registered Psychotherapist and/or Psychologist?

It is best to check in advance of your scheduled appointment to ensure you are familiar with the terms and conditions for coverage. Coverage for most but not all insurance plans is available. It is best to verify with your insurance provider.
